Drâa Valley, Telouet, Merzouga: a foretaste of the Sahara - Morocco From Above
A foretaste of the Sahara: the Drâa Valley offers an arid landscape punctuated by palm groves. This Moroccan region is overflowing with historical treasures such as the majestic Telouet Kasbah, which belonged to the former pasha of Marrakesh, or the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Great South is also Ouarzazate, its film studios, its solar power plant Noor, the largest in Africa, and of course the impressive lake of the Mansour Eddahbi dam. Further east, Merzouga is known for its expanses of sand dunes where you can hike on camel back. Stupendous!
